Noel Hill Irish Concertina an interpreter from County Clare. His family was a dynasty of performers of this instrument. Their environment was surrounded by the Irish music tradition, his house was a sort of meeting place in which they danced traditional dances. It was precisely here where he began playing without influence from the radio, books or records. At nine he began imitating great traditional musicians played at their home as Willie Clancy, Paddy Canny, Peter O'Loughlin, Paddy or Mick Murphy Hanrahan. Most of their repertoire comes from these performers.
Noel wanted to play the uilleann pipe but as they had access to it began experimenting with concertina that he had given his brother.
